Surfacing

I believe that this current trip has felt like the longest I've ever taken. Dreadfully dull, I must say.

However, the monotony was broken by our arrival at our intended destination. We're currently in the Atlantic ocean, up north near Greenland, near where a large spire of rock rises out of the ocean. It's about twenty feet above sea level, and, as far as we are able to ascertain, it is situated directly above what we came for.

You see, we believe that the Pulse originated from exactly below where the submersible is now docked: a rift in the ocean floor. We will be descending tomorrow, after an airlift of a few essential items.

Regards,
Mr. Benzene
